While we were having brunch at Wild Honey, my friends casually mentioned that 4 Fingers Bonchon at Ion Orchard has the best chicken wings in Singapore. Since then, I have been thinking about their chicken wings all day long, and when my friend wanted to meet at Ion Orchard, I told her that we had to try the 4 Fingers Bonchon crispy chicken!
If I become fat one day, I will blame everything on “causal talks” like this. Coincidentally, my visit to No. 5 Emerald Hill for their chicken wings also started with an innocent chat on twitter.
We had the Bonchon crispy chicken, which consisted of wings and drummettes in either soy garlic or spicy flavors. The crispy skin was well marinated with soy garlic, but the meat was lacking in terms of depth – it just tasted ordinary. Despite that, it’s definitely easy to finish a dozen chicken wings on your own and the fries that came with the set meal were actually quite good.
4 Fingers Bonchon at Ion Orchard also has other items like chicken chop on the menu, and they also sell ‘party-packages’ for their famous chicken wings.
Have you tried the 4 fingers bonchon chicken wings before? I’m just curious, but where do you usually eat when you are in Ion Orchard?

I work at ION Orchard, so i have tried almost all they have to offer. Personally I would recommend the fried carrot cake with fresh prawns and XO sauce at this HK restaurant called Canton-i. It is on level 3.
Their roast duck and roast pork is also not to be missed.
We brought our directors from HK here for a business dinner before, they loved it, so I think it must be the real deal.
didnt know about this place at b4 … thanks for pointin it out!
i go to imperial treasure, canton-i and itacho sushi! Love them. All documented on my blog. Slurp.
This one okay only. I think No. 5 one is better. But Eng Kee’s chicken wings are the best! IMO, that is..
I usually dine at marmalade pantry and canton-i, I agree canton-i’s duck is superb! You should have it with the noodles(: really gooddddd!
That bench and seats sure look cool though.
still have not gotten around to try this chicken wings yet..
i love the beef noodles at the food court..
and the bento lunches at Watami is okay too..
If i am alone at Ion..i would sometimes just have my fav. mushroom soup at Soup spoon…
overpriced!!! but its delicious~ i think they don’t use good quality chicken meat :/ but the marinade does seem authentic!
oh i tried making kfc (korean fried chicken) before and it turned out great. haha
1. fishball noodle and char siew rice @ ion’s foodcourt.
the fishball which they proudly shared is made from yellowtail fish is really a shioker to enjoy and the noodles w/o chilli just reminds me of old school yellow noodle, simple and palatable.
2. imperial treasure – custard bun is a MUST!
I Love their chicken wings. i think its one of the best i’ve ever tried. You should try their seafood rice box and tofu salad as well. They give generous amount of crispy calamari and prawn. For the tofu salad, it come with a light sesame dressing and yummy fried tofu =)))
i love the gyozas & the takoyaki! the latter is a must every time i visit ion! if you’re lucky, you can buy them straight away since they make a lot at one go & the tako balls sell like hotcakes; but if not, you have to wait 20 mins while they cook another batch, still it’s worth the wait!
The chicken’s pretty average and the soy garlic flavor is rather salty. I tried the chicken in NYC and it was much better, less salty and the portions were bigger!
I tried their spicy version wings at Bugis+ (former illuma) and I loved it so much I packet back some more… it is so hot and so shiok… i have been thinking about it for days after that… simply must have it another time…
I will eat at the dim sum restaurant at food opera . They serve very nice chicken congee and xo sauce stir fried carrot cake .
