DINING AT CHANGI AIRPORT PUBLIC AREA
The best thing about Changi Airport is the mind-boggling selection of F&B outlets; even when you are not hungry, you feel compelled to dine there. Whether you are going for a holiday, sending your loved ones off, or to simply hangout and have a meal – there is always something to eat at Changi Airport. Here are some of the restaurants and eateries in Changi Airport’s public area that you should include in your list:
Central Thai (T2 Public Area)
From tom yum to Thai mango salad, green curry seafood and phad thai, Central Thai serves a great variety of classic Thai dishes prepared by native Thai chefs at pocket-friendly prices.

Itacho Sushi (T3 Public Area)
Salmon skin sushi for S$0.40 – everyone will know Itacho Sushi because of this. But more than that, they offer a wide variety of sushi creations at very pocket friendly prices. When dining at Itacho, treat yourself to a selection of makis, rolls and nigiris made with fresh ingredients.
Our picks have got to be the wagyu nigiri – quality beef that is so rich in flavour and well-marbled, the salmon aburi that is torched to perfection, and sweet makis with creamy avocado and soft-shelled crab. Itacho Sushi always satisfies.

Gurney Drive (T3 Public Area)
Gurney Drive presents the best of Penang hawker food like Penang laksa, prawn noodles, and char koay teow – which was, in particular, quite a plate of heaven with a generous serving of juicy prawns and sausages atop rice noodles. The food is pretty authentic and pleasantly affordable.

Pork base, chicken base, miso base… whatever you are feeling, Ramen Champion has a bowl to feed that craving. Our favourite has got to be Keishoken by Chef Kazuo Sukuraoka, who exhibited his concept of colors via the toppings – black, red, orange and yellow. The red topping deserves a special mention for its sizzling spiciness atop rich pork broth.
Terminal 3 Basement 2
Daily: 10.30am – 11pm
Saboten (T1 Public Area)
Tonkatsu is ever popular, and Saboten does theirs well. Which explains why they are always packed, but we really would not mind the wait just to have a serving of the gorgeously-fried hire Katsu (pork tenderloin cutlet); we never leave Saobten without a serving of that. And the cheese katsu is a fabulous alternative that we always add-on, too! The various sets is another reason why Saboten is an ideal option for families.

Daily: 8am – 11pm
Seafood Paradise (T2 Public Area)
If you need your crab fix before your holiday, or if you are returning from a holiday with a major craving for our local crabs, head to Seafood Paradise and indulge in a luxurious seafood spread. Crabs aside, we really love their cheese lobsters – fresh, chunky crustaceans lavishly soaked in a bed of cheese. Eat it with deep-fried mantou! Also, the cuttlefish with kangkong is a favourite among locals, too!

Green market! Not many people are aware that complimentary set lunch were given to selected credit cards companies.
But what lure me back is the food served. Japanese food cooked with heart. It’s salmon set is my favorite , the appetizer(changes all the time) never fail to impress me, gyoza is hot and crispy , the salad is fresh, the fruit is sweet and juicy , last but not least the portion for salmon is huge ! The little hidden gem is a must go for a hearty meal before a flight
everything about changi is a rip off,do you really expect people with families to purchase expensive meals and rip off drinks, the shop rental may be too much so typical singapore logic PUT THE PRICE UP yeah we love paying $18.00 sg for a pint of kilkenny,i could go on for ever , the best quote someone once said ‘The best thing about singapore is leaving, i agree, drop your /####ing prices and you will see more happy faces around the terminals not just the rich suited businessmen who do not mind paying these pirate prices,
The staff canteen at T2 of course! There are quite a few stalls to choose from and much cheaper compared anywhere else in Changi. Not many people know about it so there are always plenty of seats.
Itacho! I love changi airport as it’s a place full of good food and it’s really peaceful there. I go there with my family frequently just to chill out. yes and it’s itacho due to it’s consistent good food across different branches! my family loves jap food and choosing itacho can never go wrong definitely. of cuz there are other places that I frequent. like I used to frequent Popeyes when there weren’t as many branches as now. it’s awesome and yes, everything is awesome there!
Gurney Drive for sure. It’s one of the most exotic and authentic Penang food I tasted in a long time. It beats having to fly to Penang just to eat their penang laksa or chow kuay teow! The laksa soup is so delicious when it is made of coconut milk.
Seafood Paradise!!
Started dining at Defu Lane with them.. Now that they are at Changi Airport, I get to satisfy my crab cravings before and after a trip!!!! They still serve the best Creamy Crab and Crab in Broth!!!
Had lunch with my hubby and 2 year old at T3 just now. We went to Poulet. My little boy loves the chicken dish and munching. I had the lamb shank nicely done. Cranberry wings is extremely crispy too! However i wish there will be more vegetables in the dishes. Lamb shank only comes with a small piece of carrot.
You can’t go wrong with a quick and classic Pad Thai at Central Thai, had it over 5 times now, and never been disappointed! Looking forward to having some next week when I fly through!
Itacho Sushi – fresh and yummy sushi!
Satoben remains the fondest memory for the family.
i am visiting singapore on the 24th of this month so im looking forward and so excited for that fabulous changi airport experience
O’Coffee Club and Tip Top
We had a wonderful breakfast at changi airport terminal 3. Indian Paratha and curry. It was
freshly made and very tasty. Also had paratha
with banana for sweet dish. delicious !!!!!!!
All restaurant in changi airport have their own specialties. You must try to discover by yourself.
I would love to dine and prefer swensens for its cozy ambience and medium lit fluorescent lights with interestingly sculptured bulb and restaurant decos as it serves everything from creams and crackers to chips and chops and dishes a wonderful array of choices to be spoilt for, making it the ideal spot for a perfect Friday night’s birthday dinner along with cooking air conditioning makes the experience all the more a comforting and memorable one:):)
Toast box definitely has the best coffee????.
Would definitely come back for it… Amongst other things.
