All hail the cat without mouth; Hello Kitty Orchid Garden, Singapore’s first Hello Kitty Cafe is opening at Changi Airport Terminal 3 in May 2016!
For so long now, we have been pinning for a Hello Kitty cafe in Singapore, and though some may argue that it is but a gimmick, many of us are suckers for thematic cafes like that. Just take a look at the various Hello Kitty cafes in Asia, and how “atmospheric” in their own ways they are. Surely this is something for fans to be excited about?
What makes it even better is that the café will be open for 24 hours daily. Hello Kitty cakes for supper, anyone?
Inspired by Singapore’s ‘Garden City’ vibes, the Hello Kitty themed cafe will feature lush greenery and opulent blooms. A definitive but lovely touch to the Singapore outlet, Hello Kitty Orchid Garden is going to be nothing short of photogenic.
Hello Kitty Orchid Garden’s menu comprises all-day breakfast fare and desserts such as gelato sundaes, waffles, pastries and tea cakes. While the exact menu has not been finalised, the dishes are said to carry local influences to reflect our cultures and taste buds.
There will also be a retail section selling Singapore-exclusive merchandise including a range of custom Hello Kitty-inspired tea blends, plush toys, grow-it-yourself plant kits, postcards and tea cups. Oh yes, we are so going broke.
We can’t be the only ones who go gaga over Hello Kitty, right?

Hi ladyironchef, HK restaurant it under Changi airport group or an independent owner?
Actually this is not Singapore’s first Hello Kitty cafe. There used to be one at Downtown East before, about 15 years ago but it closed down. But this is still great news for Kitty fans! I would be more incline to fly via T3 now!
Hello, Joyce
Hello Kitty Orchid Cafe is owned and operated by Europa Specialty Restaurant – a subsidiary under ABR Holdings Limited which operates other F&B brands such as Swensen’s and Tip Top Curry Puff. It is not by Changi Airport Group.
Hello, Sandra
Thanks for the info! Yeah, it is indeed great news for Hello Kitty fans.
Hello ladyironchef, just to check with you if the cafe is in transit area or public?
@Mandy The cafe is at Changi Airport Terminal 3 Public area.
Does that mean if I am a swensen member I could clock my point in the hello kitty café too?
Hi. What will be the exact date of the opening on May?
Yeah i’m really happy to here that information, please inform me by email, if the hello kitty cafe is opening,
i’m ready come to singapore soon from jakarta ^^
Changi airport have right?
Hi. May I know who is the renovation contractor for Hello Kitty Cafe at Changi Airport? Thanks!
A very nice place and nice atmosphere . But the service and speed of serving is way too slow .
One of the worst theme restaurants I have ever visited. Overhyped as it is a “Hello Kitty” theme. Definitely overpriced with portions too little and bones in the sandwich served. Many items not available on menu hence it is very disappointing. Nice ambience and can do better with more Hello Kitty decorations.
First time here, service is bad, slow and disappointing.. ordered the benedicts with a ice latte, finished my food and the latte was still not here!! Damn….
