This guide to the best dessert places in Singapore was last updated on 5 July 2014.
Desserts make us happy, desserts make us smile, desserts are our best of friends. Indulging in desserts is like a hobby to us. We like to go on frequent quests to find new dessert places in Singapore, and share them with our favourite people.
Here is our guide to the Best Dessert Places in Singapore.
Antoinette is a Parisian pâtisserie and salon du thé by Chef Pang Kok Keong, one of Singapore’s best pastry chefs. The French patisserie is a great place for a quiet afternoon high tea. If we lived near the Lavender area, we could just imagine ourselves dropping by the Parisian tea salon every other day.

Paul Bakery has opened in Singapore with much fanfare, and it is not difficult to understand why the French boulangerie/patisserie is packed with customers everyday, any time of the day.
For those who have been to Europe, Paul Boulangerie is the place for them to relive those wonderful memories of having a warm croissant and a cuppa on cold, winter days. And for those who have no clue, we’d say skip the waffles and crepes, and go for their croissant and pain au chocolat. The mille-feuille is quite a treat, too!

Wimbly Lu is among our favourite places for desserts, and we go there all the time and have, by far, tried all the desserts on the menu. We love the intimate and somewhat rustic atmosphere, and the fact that all the desserts are so reasonably-priced is what had our loyalty earned. While some of the desserts did not impress, the waffle and root beer cake are reasons enough for us to return time and again.

Classic cakes at sunset way – marble cheesecake
daily scope also at sunset way! ( ice creams)
TELL ME ABOUT IT! Desserts is and should be the main meal of the day! Haha. I’ve tried all but 3 on your list, and two of them are ones I wanna try the most – Patisserie Glace and Obolo. Then again, PG is pretty near my workplace I think, should go there one day during lunch to dapao desserts.
My fave dessert place – there is no fave cos dessert is eaten accordingly for every mood! Say a fruit tart from Delifrance hits the spot when you want something simple, or a rich chocolate cake from Lana or awfullychoc, or Canele’s strawberry shortcake or matcha cake when you want something light, a Tampopo creampuff when you’re happy to make you even happier…Er, you get the gist right? Right.
Nooo. I don’t like canele.first I don’t know whether the gold paper on the choc cake is edible. 2nd, the blueberry tea taste like pokka bottled tea. Haha. Loves max brenner! The bald man!
Delish! It’s must be a tough decision to choose only 10 out of countless shops
In Tokyo, for ex. to eat sweets used to be a girlie activity, but we can now see many boys enjoying in patisseries as they’re called “sweets danshi (boys)”. Glad to be able to share lovely food beyond gender
let’s not forget:
k.ki at 7 Ann Siang Hill – my fave cakes ever!
Mei Hong Yuan at 65-67 Temple Street – this list doesn’t as yet feature our good ole Chinese desserts, and i think they deserve a mention because they are just as wonderful… and nowhere does it better than Mei Hong Yuan!
Try K Ki at Ann Xiang Hill! I love the Antoinette!
Hi Brad! I’ll be back home in 10ish days now! Can’t wait to eat, eat, eat my way through Summer! I love this list of places you’ve put up! Definitely going to try all of them! x
estelle: oh ya i heard of classic cakes and their crepes! other than their marble cheesecake, which ones have you tried?
Chelle: HIGH 5! i think we have very common palates! you MUST try Patisserie glace strawberry souffle, it’s the bomb! and yes, tampopo cream puff always make me happier when i am happy! hee have you tried the shortcake at tampopo? i feel it’s even better than the one at canele
ricky: Give canele another chance? they have good macarons too, try the le royale cake
the lacquer spoon: I bet tokyo has even more French and Japanese patisserie, they have a big following there right?
kitsune shoujo: haha kki a bit over-hyped now, i will wait a while. i had the mango ice at Mei Hong Yuan, it’s good stuff : )
meg: Another Kki fan? hahaha ok maybe i will drop by soon
S: YAY! SO FAST? You are finally coming home, lets meet up soon : ))
Laurent’s and Max Brenner win my vote! Thanks for the recommendations and great pictures!
amazing. i should know not to come to your blog at night….i am just starved now
the matcha cake right at the top- where’s this from? Also, any best recommendations for matcha cakes?
alison: thank you for your kind words! i love both laurent’s and max brenner too! between the both of them, they have the best chocolate souffle in singapore! but it’s not cheap to pay 20 bucks for a dessert :p
vanillasugar: OH NO! i bet you have some leftover goodies in your fridge, go get them now?
incognita: Hello the matcha cake is from patisserie glace! i love the matcha chiffon cake from tampopo, and the matcha cake from Canele : )
Hi! the chocolate souffle from Laurent Bernard didn’t really satisfied me.. their rum raisin souffle is..
dian: really? i have not tried it myself, but a lot of people have been raving about it as the best chocolate souffle in singapore
ahhh, thanks for the tips and list..really usefull`
taufulou: no problem, glad to be able to help : )
I tried Glace as you commented…Wow,Super…must go back. Not enuf!
Thank you for the recommendations.
cookiemonsta: glad you love it! yes i already been there many times, and i will order the strawberry souffle each time without fail : )
amazing. i should know not to come to your blog at night….i am just starved now
well..
i do love the Marmalade Pantry’s cupcake selection (despite of the rarity of some kind if you go there for later afternoon tea),
but the service was simply Awful!
it takes literally 10 minutes for my bill to arrive and another 5 minutes for them to bring back my bill..
maybe to go, perhaps..
how about the Patissier? the passionfruit meringue’s really good!
karen: hahaha i take that as a compliment : )
adithya: yeah maybe they have a busy day. but i guess the cupcakes are worth the wait, otherwise you can always takeaway at Toast (their bakery at Takashimaya)
allthingssweet: I haven tried their desserts before. But it’s such a shame that they do not have any dine in area
for cakes try “one caramel” at bottom of mount sophia near plaza sing… wide selection of cakes and esp their choc praline cake taste nice!
i’ve never read something about someone who shares the exact same feeling as me when it comes to desserts! great, great, photos by the way!
I loved Cakes & desserts just like you and Breakfast too! I love the cakes at Flor Patisserie and Tampopo Deli.
Cakes at Center Ps @ Tiong Bahru is quite good too.
Hey there… i’d tried 5 out of the 10. they were superb in each of their own special menu. staff was very splendid, friendly and ready to answer. but i was so very disappointed with Le Chocolate at Ann Siang. Hey!!! you didn’t mention it in your blog so I guess you tried it before. Staff was not so friendly, didn’t have any knowledge on the desserts and the dessert was not up to the 5 I tried.
Hi! I learned about your blog from my 19year old daughter. I’m quite a newbie in blogging that’s why I enjoy reading great blogs like yours. Eating is one of my passions and I’m a lover of desserts too. Whenever I go abroad, I try out new dining places I have never visited. I’m going to Singapore again by end of August and as early as now, I’m making a shortlist of the places I will be visiting. I might not have the time to try all in your list but can you recommend the top 3 best dessert places? Btw, I beg to disagree about the cupcakes at Marmalade Pantry. I tried their Rose and Limonata but I got disappointed. They were dry. Sonja’s Cupcakes here in Manila are much better. Try it sometime . Thanks.
Ever tried the chocolate fondant at TWG? I have really high expectations of chocolate deserts and this one exceeds all!
wow, alot of new places since the last time I went to SG (probably about a year ago) .. Just gotta make my way there soon and just eat desserts
Thanks for the list !
3 Inch Sin has closed down in Cluny Court. Now it is only available at One Millenia.
why ain’t da paolo’s gastronomia on the list? imo, it’s much better than obolo and definitely value for money.
I found a great online ‘dessert’ place and they’re cakes are cheap and so quintessentially english, it brought back memories of my trip to the UK. Their scones especially are fantastic! I bought a box of about 15 which included cream and jam for only $25. Their website is http://www.bizcocho.weebly.com. You should check it out! Definitely worth a try
Tampopo deli shop is not at b1 anymore. In fact they open another new store selling their famous cream puffs and other cakes at 117 River Valley Road Liang Court#01-41/42 Singapore 179030 Dulcet & Studio
Go check it out.
The Cheesecake Cafe indeed have the best cheesecake in Singapore. Their cafe have victorian-style decoration adorning the walls. I’m not a big fan of cheesecake, but I can’t resist on their cheesecakes. I love their Peach Jelly cheesecake. Not so cheesy
Do take note for dine-in, minimum of one order per pax and no photography of premises.
Hello,
I just discovered Wimbly Lu this morning. They have delicious waffles that I dipped in my mayan hot chocolate
Swirl cupcakes are amazing! Try the peanut butter ones…they are at robertson quay….sort of.
A new dessert that popped up recently at Wisma Lv 2 called ‘Paris Baguette’ has nice cakes and pastries too! Love how light their cake’s cream are! Definitely needs to be up on this list!
A new dessert place*
Anyway thumbs up for this list! Im gonna try most of them soon!
glad to be able to recognise all of the dessert places on this post except for the one in Holland V
good list!
Hi Brad, you should check out Artesans Sweets (32 Holland Grove Road,Henry Park Apartments). I personally feel that they make the best Macaroons in SG with standard near to Lauduree! (:
hey thank you for your recommendation. I have been finding places to eat dessert and I got it now. I also would like to recommend a place which is located in raffle city B1 called ‘fruit paradise’, the cake they sell range of 7-15 dollars and all of the flavour tarts are really yummy. especial the crust is crunchy yet it wil melt fantastically in your mouth. the cake is also relatively tall and the quality is up for standard. it is worth to try the tiramisu tart and fruit tarts.
you should try Lady M at Marina Square!!
