Papa Palheta – Best Coffee in Singapore
Papa Palheta has been making waves in the Singapore Food Scene with its premium gourmet coffee. They have recently opened Loysel’s Toy Cafe at Kampong Bugis, which is located ten minutes away from Lavender Mrt Station.
I am sure many of you who have been to Papa Palheta/Loysel’s Toy Cafe will agree that they have very good coffee.
Besides the excellent coffee, Loysel’s Toy Cafe also serves simple breakfast food like omelette and scrambled eggs. There are also sandwiches, salad and desserts on the menu.
For non-coffee drinkers, it is perfectly fine as they also have fresh juices and a selection of tea like Oolong, Masala, Black Tea and Earl Grey. But I do think it is kind of silly if you go to Loysel’s Toy cafe without trying their coffee. They are after-all, famous for serving a cup of good coffee.
The location at Kampong Bugis is excellent as it allows them to further expand with more tables at the back.
If you are looking for a breakfast place, drop by Loysel’s Toy Cafe to have eggs and sandwiches. Otherwise, the laid-back ambiance makes it a nice place to catch up with your friend over a cup of coffee.
To get there: Alight at Lavender Mrt Station and walk along Crawford Street. Cross the river using the bridge and you will be able to see a standalone Sam Tat warehouse.

my favorite cafe is cedele at raffles city basement.. i guess its because of the familiarity i have of the place and the food~
Sound great, thanks for your review.
but I just want to know
which is the Big 5 espresso in singapore?
cos I think kopai is another kind of drink …
.And this time I want to visit some coffee shop in Singapore.
Also I can tell you my list of coffee if you want but they are in HK.
Loysel’s Toy cafe is a new kid on the block, but their sandwiches (besides their coffee) did not disappoint! There was a mini crispy green apple with it!
I like the food and ambience of Food For Thought! Their deco of glass bottle hanging from the ceiling is pretty cool and chic! The full works is generous in portion & taste yummeh! Though I find their brioche too cakey for my liking.
Shots at Ann Siang Hill has a damn chillax concept, perfect for a mini getaway on a lazy afternoon! And not forgetting the nearby K-Ki for their delectable petite cakes! (:
gonna try this place for sure.
currently my fave coffee place would be jones the grocer @ dempsey.
Yeah I heard raves about Papa Palheta! Should go and try someday…Hmm, favourite cafe is one that is NOT crowded, and where I can get a nice plush seat!
Went Papa Palheta several times — love their lattes but it’s quite out of the way as I don’t drive.
Gonna hop over to Loysel’s Toy Cafe soon!
I live in Kallang, 5 mins walk from this place. Great food but LIMITED supply of food. Unless you plan to eat at 9.30am, whatever you want to eat will be sold out. The favourite saying here is ‘So sorry, thats sold out’. Scrambled eggs, Chicken sandwhich, Orange juice – sold out. Such a disappointing and frustrating experience. The muffins are to die for (when they’re not sold out…)
Chicken and any form of eggs sold out by 1.30pm today (Hari Raya day). Place was packed and quite a lot of ppl had to be turned away. Plenty of space for them to place more tables though.
