I will be adding this list to the top of my Delicious page. Given that it’s already April, that means on average, I need to check out at least one buffet restaurant each month. Get going, save up for the indulgence and report back to me every time you ticked off a restaurant off this list.
katie: My favourite buffet is melt the world cafe, they have a seafood spread with oysters during dinner.
=X triple 3? My family went for the weekend dinner buffet only recently, i’ve to say that will be our first, and last time going for the buffet. although the sashimi is pretty fresh, rest of the food are sort of average with respect to the cost of the buffet. also, i don’t really like the idea of paying so much and still have to queue for certain dishes. the conclusion is my whole family decided meltz are better in terms of varieties, taste and cost. but i would say for service wise, both triple 3 and meltz are equally good.
Hi,
I have a craving for fresh oysters for lunch, where would you recommend?
Thanks!
Cleo
I remember when the incredibly Fullerton Sunday brunch buffet only cost $80… now it’s almost double! I almost shed a tear.
Hi LadyIronChef!
If i’m looking for a international buffet with budget around $35 do you have any recommendations?
How about good and nice yet budget de buffet (no need international one also can.
TIA:)
Any comments on the Fisherman’s Market Seafood Buffet at Clarke Quay’s The Central? Been wanting to go try it.
Wow this is a great list! I’m going to try melt the world this saturday! Anyone knows whether its still so delish over the years?
So I’m new to Singapore (3 months).
Love the idea of lazy Sundays indulging in great food and fine champagne whilst someone takes care of the kids
As a note – neither my wife nor I eat any shellfish (no crab, lobster, oysters).
A few weeks ago went to Melt @ Mandarin – which was fantastic. Plenty to eat and actually thought the seafood was a very minor portion of the buffet. The desserts are outstanding.
Last weekend went to Greenhouse @ Ritz which was a notch above. The food spectacular. Seafood more prevelant, but still plenty for us to indulge on. Sushi was beautiful. Desserts not as good as Melt.
The ambience definitely more refined at Greenhouse.
QUESTION:
We have some friends from out of town in 2 weeks and we have booked for Town Restaurant @ Fullerton. I have heard it is VERY heavily slanted to seafood. Anyone been there recently. Should we attempt it or head back to Greenhouse @ Ritz?
To answer your question RG, I was at the Fullerton Hotel buffet lunch recently. It has a pretty decent selection of food but it’s highlight was its Japanese buffet sushi bar and selection. We loved it because of its japanese sushi sashimi but it may be wasted on you and your wife if you don’t eat much seafood.
Thanks Linda.
Actually – we eat fish – not shellfish. So we love sushi, sashimi.
Think we’ll give it a go.
I’ll be sure to tell you how it went
No one writes about the Oscar at conrad. It used to have a good campaigne brunch. Good mix of local, fresh seafood (oyster, Japanese) and BBQ. Price is a little high. There is no write up on orchard hotel,
My comment on various:
The line- you will always find something nice but not great
Ritz – nothing special or signature
Melt – good value
Hey i just called one ninety in four seasons hotel, they dont have the desserts buffet anymore! Dang, i was looking forward to it.
Anyone can suggest a good dinner buffet restaurant that serves a wide range of seafood? Price is not an issue as long as its below $100 per person.
Totally helpful post! Went to bar n billiard and the carousel before in your list! Worth every penny u spent! (:
hi any recommendations for a sunday brunch with free flow foie gras?
Hey there! Could you possibly recommend a good halal dim sum spot?
Try the Oscar’s at Conrad Hotel. It’s really good. Has both variety and quality. It’s better den The Line in Shangri-La.
Li Li,
just returned from Oscar’s at The Conrad from a buffet dinner with my wife. It was really really really bad, both in quality and variety. The curry was horrible, meat was hard. The laksa station was also a let down. Your ridiculous comment on Oscar’s being better than The Line is absolute rubbish. Because of you, we wasted calories and time on sub-standard food. The sushi variety was limited to some sprinklings of sashimi and hard sushi. I have never written a comment on any site till now about my epicurean adventures, but i felt it necessary to warn others about Oscar’s. Your positive comments on Oscar’s leaves me to believe on other hidden intentions as the restaurant was also pretty empty for a Friday evening. Again, Cheers for wasting our time and ruining a Friday evening.
Dr. Tan
It’s just a personal recommendation. Dun have to use harsh words. Everyone has their own preference to the kind of food they like. If you dun like it, then too bad. Honestly, every time I go there, it’s almost full house.
Do u guys know where to find a place with buffet my budget is 20++ as its the kids which r paying..
Good post! What do you reckon is a good buffet place with decent variety of veg options? (:
I really really enjoy Todai buffet! Something to add to your list=)
Apart from Carousel at scotts, does anyone know of a good halal buffet?

Hi, do u know where can I find good Halal buffet lunch in sg, other than Aquamarine and Carousel??? Thank you.
For the Indian Food buffet i would highly recommend haveli restaurant, just nearby katong shopping center, the price for dinner buffet is only 25$ were for lunch only 15$ what is so cheap especially that the food quality is simply awesome, and in general its mt favourite indian restaurant in singapore
Hi, does anyone know which is better:
1. Ikoi
2. Shin Minori
3. Irodori

If you have any other suggestions for a nice Japanese buffet that doesn’t exceed $45 as I am still a student so the price is a little bit of a problem.
Thx
