The merest mention of the word “cake” can turn my head, so naturally, I am always on the lookout for places to try. If you are a dessert lover like me, you must check out Grin Affair, a new cake shop – nestled in the quiet Everton Park estate (where you can also find Nylon Coffee Roasters) – which serves cakes in glass jars.
Flavours include lychee with passionfruit, strawberry with cream cheese, cookies & cream, hazelnut, and matcha azuki. The price ranges from S$6 to S$6.50 per jar.
There are only six seats in the dessert shop, so go in small groups, or be prepared to crowd around the table.
I hope everyone will support small businesses that are passionate about what they are doing. If you are in the Tanjong Pagar/Outram area, please drop by Nylon Coffee Roasters for a cuppa, and head to Grin Affair for a jar of cake.

My boyf bought me these cakes for my birthday! And I love the honey lavender one<3 Anyone pls recommend more lavender desserts/chocolates!!
I had the strawberry cheesecake and my husband had the kiwi cheesecake. For a person who doesn’t fancy cakes especially cheesecakes, my husband actually really liked it! The kiwi cheesecake had a crunchy caramel thingy that added to the extra texture. I really liked that it wasn’t ‘gelat’ like many cheesecakes and it was very mousse -like. Sweetness was just nice. Yum!
There were so many people when we were there. I was wondering if everyone like me read your blog about this place and brought their friends there too! Thanks for teh reccomendation!
I never got to try to cakes there because they have such bad service. So rude in reply customer’s text and inflexible about the quantity served daily as well as collection timing.
Went there yesterday, the place was awfully small, i never see any table there, only chairs be seen. I will not choose to have the dessert there coz they dont serve drinks(not even plain water). Who will want to eat chocs/sweet stuffs without even drinks. The cakes are nice. Tried their dark chocolate flavor, not so sweet with bits of saltiness. My advise is just go there buy the cakes home can already.
Hi, just want to find out if you do customised cakes in a jar with names printed on the jar or on the cake itself?
If yes, how much will it cost per jar
Thanks!
