When it comes to hotel buffets with flair, the award-winning Edge at Pan Pacific Singapore is one that never disappoints. Boasting a whopping seven live food theatres and over a hundred dishes to choose from, it is safe to say that they go above and beyond every measure of the word epic.

‘Tis the season to be jolly and it only gets at better at Edge.
FESTIVE ROAST DELIGHTS
Be enticed by Edge’s mouth-watering array of roasted and baked delights that are as tantalising as they are stunning to look at.
It isn’t Christmas without some turkey. The Cajun Spiced Roasted Turkey is a well-marinated one with a slightly peppery finish. Cooked to the exact doneness, the skin boasted a crispy, golden hue and the meat was succulent and delicious. For an extra flavour lift, ladle over some gravy or cranberry sauce.
No Christmas dinner would be complete without a luxurious roast lamb, and boy did their Roasted Lamb Leg impress. The ones we had were toasted to utmost perfection, with an exterior of flavourful crust while the interior was still nicely pink and succulent.
The Arabic Marinated Whole Salmon features—like its name suggests—a whole fish that is basted over with herbs and spices. Baked and served whole, the flesh was flaky, tender and oh-so-aromatic.
The Duck Confit with Roast Potatoes is something you have to try, too!
7 OPEN CONCEPT KITCHENS OFFERING INTERNATIONAL CUISINES
Where do we begin? With such a wide selection ranging from Peranakan, Malay, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Singaporean and the Pacific region, it is impossible to not find something to love.
In addition to the vast selection of cuisines, the restaurant features seven open concept kitchens, creating a lively atmosphere where you can watch and observe the chefs at work.
Be sure not to skip the Indian food station. We LOVE the massive range of vegetable and meat curries, tandoori meats, bread and even traditional Indian confectioneries—it is our all-time favourite station at Edge.
Oh, there will be a festive pasta station where you can have fresh pasta prepared à la minute too!
From prawns to mussels, lobsters and crabs, you can look forward to the freshest seafood at Edge’s seafood counter.
What we also liked was their selection of condiments which allowed us to experiment with different flavour combinations.
For those of you who crave a more Asian-centric meal, be enticed by their wide variety of hearty delights that span the cuisines of multi-cultural Singapore as well as around the region.
Amongst all the many food stations that have impressed us over the years, the Indian station has got to be our ultimate go-to. Comprising a plethora of curries, chutneys, and tandoori offerings, the spread beautifully encompasses the very best of North-Indian cuisine.
Tweaked to fit the festive mood, the popular Chirashi Don is transformed into a Turkey ‘Oyako’ Chirashi Don over at the Japanese corner. As much as we missed having our chunks of fresh salmon and tuna, we were rather impressed by this thematic variation that was neither bland nor was it dry.
Should your Japanese food urges kick in, you still have your usual sushi, maki rolls, tempura, miso soup as well as a sashimi counter where you can choose between fresh octopus, tuna and salmon—all at the Japanese section.
A LIFE-SIZED GINGERBREAD HOUSE
Immerse yourself in the magical season of Christmas with the highly anticipated gingerbread house. Amazingly detailed, this life-sized installation (made entirely out of real gingerbread) houses a smorgasbord of sweet treats. Hansel and Gretel, anyone? Eat all the sweets you can!
DESSERTS PILGRIMAGE
From traditional Nyonya kuehs, festive cakes and tarts, homemade gelato, to even a waffle counter where you can get freshly made waffles on the spot, there is no other dessert spread around that comes close to Edge’s over-the-top display.
Their soft, hand-made and gluten-free Nama chocolates that are available in dark rum, green tea and strawberry are showstoppers in their own right. We always go for endless helpings of these.
Our readers can quote ‘ladyironchef’ upon making reservations to enjoy 20% off for both the Festive Lunch and Festive Dinner from 20 November 2017 to 23 December 2017. A magical feast awaits at Edge and we wouldn’t want you to miss it!
