The Hong Kong-Style Instant Noodle is a comforting bowl of noodle soup that never fails to make us happy. That familiar taste of the famed Hong Kong-style instant noodles is unparalleled comfort, and it works as breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper… anything. Any time is a good time for a bowl of Hong Kong-style Instant Noodle.
To satisfy our cravings for Hong Kong-style Instant Noodle in Singapore, we’re lucky to have NISSIN’s Chu Qian Yi Ding instant noodles! We were told that the formula has been improved, and we used the new version to recreate the iconic Hong Kong-style Instant Noodle. Happy to say that the taste is so close to what we would get in Hong Kong!
The new Chu Qian Yi Ding’s formula has more springy noodles and the sesame oil flavour is actually much more enhanced.
Here’s a simple recipe on how you can prepare the Hong Kong-style Instant Noodle with NISSIN’s Chu Qian Yi Ding.
NISSIN’s Chu Qian Yi Ding comes in several variations. The one we are going to use is the Sesame Oil flavour. It is a shoyu-base soup with an aromatic sesame oil flavour. It is the closest to what you can get in Hong Kong, and it doesn’t take a chef to recreate the Hong Kong-style Instant Noodle.
The new version features super springy noodles that have a nice bite to it, so if like us, you do not fancy soft noodles, then this new version with its delightful springy texture will be just right for you. The sesame oil flavour is also more pronounced, with a stronger aroma and a more distinct taste.
Coupled with fried luncheon meat pieces and an egg, the sesame oil flavour shines through the savoury soup and all its accompanying ingredients. Every sip of the soup is deeply comforting, and the best part is it not leaving that nasty salty aftertaste.
The new version also uses an aluminium packaging to prevent sunlight and moisture from affecting the contents inside and to ensure the noodles’ deliciousness lasts longer.
To enjoy the Hong Kong dish in the comfort of your own home is as easy as ABC. The key is NISSIN’s Chu Qian Yi Ding instant noodles, and everything else is a variation – depending on your preference.
