The Westin Singapore’s Executive Chef, Chef Aaron Foster, has added new items to Cook & Brew’s lunch and dinner menus. Drawing inspiration from his travels as well as working in award-wining dining establishments in New York, Toronto and Bangkok, he has developed an affinity for various cuisines that is reflected in his dishes.
There are restaurants that we return to because we love the ambiance, there are those that we return to because the prices are friendly, then there are also those that hold a special place in our hearts simply because the team of chefs and waitstaff are like friends to us.
Cook & Brew at The Westin Singapore is one of those places, and it is not your typical restaurant. It is a gastrobar, sitting high on the 33rd level and with a glimpse of the city from above, with an exuberant team who are ever passionate about their food and beers, and a comprehensive menu that covers your bar snacks, mains, desserts and all the beers that you can ever dream of.
A recent change of menu had us revisiting the gastrobar, and Chef Aaron has a lot to impress, indeed. On a side note, his humble personality and comical expressions make it so easy to like him. Hailing from Canada, this man is famed for making his own sausages and meatballs, and man, do we need those with our beers!

Over at Cook & Brew, the lively gastrobar at Level 33 of The Westin Singapore, the chefs have specially created a 5-course set menu ($260++ per couple, inclusive of a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rose per person) for all the lovebirds.
Start the 5-course dinner with the finest selection of Seafood on Ice – Fine de Claire Oysters, Andaman Tiger Prawns, Marinated Black Mussels, Razor Clams. Next up is an appetising Grilled Octopus paired with grapefruits and spiced hazelnuts salsa verte, as well as a Truffle Housed Smoked Bacon Soup with Kale and Butternut. For the mains, the House Brined & Seared Waygu MS8 Short-Rib Corned Beef Style will please every meat lover. And what’s Valentine’s Day without some pretty desserts? The Cast Iron Cinnamon Brioche French Toast with a scoop of walnut ice cream and maple syrup is one lovely sweet treat to share with your partner.
